Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I hire a Virtual Assistant?
I am not an employee, I am a freelancer who is there to help with as much or as little as you need. I come with no additional costs such as annual leave, sick pay or any employee related taxes; I have my own Professional Indemnity Insurance and I am ICO registered. You do not need a space for me in your office as I work remotely and there is no need for any costly office equipment. There are no costs to recruit or train me, with a little instruction to start with, I will quietly get on with the job.
How will we communicate when working together?
We will discuss this in our consultation to ensure that we communicate in the style that suits you best. Whether it be by email, telephone, video call, whatsapp or project management tool, you will be regularly kept up to date with progress.
Are you able to come into the office or physically attend an event or meeting?
For the most part my work will be done remotely however if on occasion I was required on site, provided you are commutable distance from me (I live in Surrey), that would not be a problem.
What hours to do you work?
I do not have set ‘office’ hours and therefore, depending on my availability, I can be flexible to fit your requirements. This does means however that I will not always be available if you need something done immediately and will need a sufficient time frame to complete the tasks. Your expectations can be discussed at our initial consultation.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes, a contract needs to be signed before I will start working with you. This is to protect your business and mine.
What safeguards do you have in place?
As well as the contract and terms and conditions, I am ICO registered, GDPR compliant and have professional indemnity insurance through Policy Bee.
